Proposed changes to ODA Amusement Division itinerary submission requirements
Many inflatable rental companies are concerned about the new ODA "web only" itinerary system. Our dissatisfaction stems from the time it takes to manually enter the info into several screens. This creates a significant additional burden on companies that do a large volume of business in OH. Even smaller companies are noticing that the system is cumbersome, at best.
As with any new system implementation, there will be some resistance. However, we want to suggest a very simple and easy to implement solution.
The Ohio Dept of Health (Radon Division) uses a very similar web-based entry system. ODH licensed Radon Contractors, Specialists and Testers are able to upload a simple spreadsheet including all of their data at once. All of the popular event rental software systems allow users to export their data in a customized way to an Excel spreadsheet. As such, we propose that the ODA implement a similar system to help business owners streamline this process.
In summary, this petition proposes that the ODA implement a means of importing all itinerary data at once, by uploading a spreadsheet as an alternative to manual entry. It is requested that this update be made prior the 'kickoff' of the busy-season in Ohio (April 2019).
