This is not the solution, please do not proceed further with this. This does not solve any problems it will only create more. How do communities come together? That is the question that must be solved. Movements like this within the POA just push it closer to being dissolved. After speaking with a young couple trying to build a life here on their property and understanding how difficult it is...the solution lies within the question "How do we as a community support our neighbors to bring their dreams to fruition?" This is not the solution. Thank you.

As a prospective home and business owner of the future I don't think these fees are encouraging. If anything they could be detremintal to someone planning to buy property to develop.

We have been here almost 20 years. Have raised my son and now have a grandson here. It is vitally important that the original vision of this beautiful place remains intact. The vision that we and many others share, is to be able to feel secure in sharing this magical land, helping one another become self-reliant by community means and desires for this. To keep the integrity I agree we need to be able to afford and create a community within the foundation of sensibility, sustainability and affordability. I was a single young mother when moving here, was able to purchase a home and then later, land to build on. My dream as many others at that time, was to create community. Help one another build each others homes, as most of us were young and had kids to raise too. The extra fees in my mind are not going to change anything for the better. What this will do is make things harder and more stressful for the families who come to be more sustainable and can afford to do this only because it has been affordable, so far. Please do not aggravate the situation by imposing more fees on top of what we already have to pay for. This would be devastating to those of us who planned to create and homestead on the land. Thanks for listening! I hope this issue resolves.

Agreed. And by creating more fees and restrictions, our property values go even further down than they are. Making a place restrictive and expensive makes it a prohibited property to invest in, NOT more valuable.

I am land owner at the grants 102c wagon wheel rd. we plan to start building soon this fee will put a big dent in our building budget which I plan to complete by the end of the year

Part of the reason we bought our property was because we were told, (and it was in the POA packet at the time), that we could live or camp on our land while we built our house. Punishing new builders with added fees is unfair and will make it harder for many to complete their builds. This unfairly targets those with the least as far as budgets to build, and goes against the spirit of what Crestone and the Baca should be about.
