I support airing free exercise programs like Body Electric on Public Television to ensure a healthy and strong lifestyle for all Americans. Healthy citizens reduce the cost of health care and live longer more fulfilling lives. In addition, I believe this programming is an ideal fit in meeting the first three of five goals set forth in the Statement of Mission signed at the PBS Members Meeting of February 23, 2004: • Challenge the American mind. • Inspire the American spirit. • Preserve the American memory. Please continue or restore airing programs like Body Electric and provide funding for new healthy lifestyle programming for all ages.
