A safer crossing is definitely needed for this road and in particular to keep our children safe. The present crossing is not safe enough, trying to cross as a family or with bikes is very difficult to do so close to the roundabout.

At Baby Grows we love going for walks, the children enjoy it so much but we get so put off because of crossing the road! We need this zebra crossing!!!

I was involved in a similar campaign as a school governor. Safety of the children should be paramount.

My children and I cross the road to get to milton school most morning, I am disgusted at the amount of cars that speed along that road to roundabout. Putting a crossing in would not only make it easier for the children to cross but would slow down cars travelling on that piece of road

I walk to work at Neal's Yard, right by the area in question. Cars fly through this chicane style section of road and the number of times you see solo children crossing there, who really aren't ready for speeding cars, is quite worrying. Even I, a grown adult, who drives, finds this little strip far too fast!!

This is vital for the welfare of all that need to get to Milton school. That road is very fast and a main route for heavy vehicles. It is a matter of time before a serious accident occurs. A simple crossing would alleviate this.

This is such a busy road, used by lorries as well as cars, many of whom drive too fast across the roundabout. A crossing would make us all safer by protecting the pedestrians and slowing the traffic as it enters the town.

This would be a massive help to the families of Gillingham, particularly Peacemarsh area. It would also be of huge benefit to elderly people trying to get from one side to the other for the doctors, chemist etc.

having a safe crossing would be great for children walking and cycling to school, for years all parents at milton school have been worried that an accident would happen eventually but none of us want it to get this far before something is done about it. Seen plenty of close calls so allowing our children to walk or cycle is a major worry.

The vehicles travel much faster than they should along this road. In the name of safety for the family's who cross this road daily. A crossing is an absolute necessity.

I am a local resident with older children, however when my children were young, I found this road incredibly dangerous, and as a driver, I still do, it is approached way too fast by the majority of cars.

I would love my children to have the independence of walking to school, but at the moment I believe this is too dangerous to even consider. It is not only children going to Milton school who are unable to safely walk to school, even getting to Gillingham High School from this estate, involves either crossing this very busy road at vulnerable places or walking on the road itself. Please don't wait for an accident to happen, before doing something about this.
