I think that 10 mins a subject is a little much. If teachers coordinated so that one different class didn't give homework each day, that would take off 25-30 mins of homework time AND limit repetitive homework.

Lets be realistic, 10 mins is a bit much. And for this to work we need to organise it middle school wide. Also remember different people have different paces while doing Homework. Keep Going Though

Every student knows, yes, we should only be doing up to 30 minutes a night for each subject, as a rule. For 6 academic subjects, that's 180 minutes. That's a lot. Not to mention that most students end up using from 200-300 minutes a night on homework, because despite the rule, we still get mark down if our homework is incomplete.

Homework must be quality not quantity!

In 9th grade, teachers are like: "You can spare 40 minutes out of your night for my class" and students are like: "Some of us work slower than you. For us, that takes roughly an hour, then multiply that by 5 core subjects... That's your entire afternoon AND evening, down the drain..."
