Now is your opportunity to take the lead and support Brighton as an example of how such growth strengthens a community…

Poised for the next phase of planned progress, Anthony J. Costello & Son’s Corporate and Lifestyle Center serves to address many of Brighton’s ongoing needs. It is a comprehensive vision of a well-considered community asset that will yield immediate and long-term benefits for t...he area, while taking precautions for minimal impact on the environment.

Much like Clinton Crossings Medical Center, this new venture has been a plan-in-the-making for years, and will take years—possibly up to 10—to evolve. It is a $164 million private investment that will provide a major new tax base…for the beautification of this central corridor…for a balance of community growth and respect for the environment and for improved use around the I-590 expressway. It is intended to be all of these things and so much more.

The Lifestyle Center is a focal point of mixed-use development where retailers, restaurants, and offices combine with the likes of nearby municipal buildings, churches, schools and medical facilities. It is a smart-growth alternative where local and national tenants blend to provide diverse offerings that best reflect and appeal to a region. The success stories are too numerous to mention, but several are represented here to provide a snapshot of the possibilities for Brighton.

The Corporate and Lifestyle Center is a key component of an overall planned lifestyle triad expected to become a defining part of Brighton. Consisting of an expansion of Clinton Crossings, a corporate complex and a multi-purpose lifestyle quadrant, it will help create an identifiable, desirable destination, so Brightonians won’t have to drive elsewhere for premier services or to be at the center of the action.

Each of the three segments answers a need specific to the purpose it serves. The expanded Medical Center will accommodate additional practitioners since Clinton Crossings is close to full occupancy and the number of town residents in need of patient-centered care continues to rise. The corporate offices may offer employment close to home to eliminate commutes, as well as secure better tax support for schools. And the Lifestyle Center will enable people and families to experience a full day of activities—from recreation and entertainment to shopping and dining—all within walking distance. The parking areas developed will benefit not only the weekly, 8-to-5 work flow, but also the evening and weekend crowds at Buckland Park, and those attending special community or holiday events on campus.

With a daytime population close to 253,000, totaling the largest workforce in Monroe County, Brighton has a legitimate need for such a lifestyle hub to serve the number of people. The extension of Senator Keating Boulevard, as well as the proximity of the Corporate and Lifestyle Center to Clinton Crossings and Buckland Park, will unify the areas, providing various conveniences and easier accessibility in and out of all locations.

A hotel and conference facility, retail and restaurants to provide services and entertainment. Appealing fountains, water features and a large-scale pond for summer and winter activities. Winding walkways with brick pavers and lampposts that encourage day-to-nighttime strolls. Amply-dispersed benches and landscaped alcoves for live music performances. Plus WiFi capability throughout. All for locals and out-of-towners alike.
Details like porticos along the walkways, and on restaurants with alfresco dining, are designed to protect visitors from the elements...to extend seasonal outdoor enjoyment from April to October and, potentially, even longer.

Here, you get a better view of the 82-acre campus, with the Lifestyle Center featuring 108,000 square feet of retail space, a five-story hotel and free-standing restaurants; plus corporate buildings with 575,000 square feet dedicated for company headquarters, technical centers, and training and educational facilities. These are individual components with their own tone, yet all are tied together through the overarching aesthetics.

Of particular importance, the complex will comply with Anthony J. Costello & Son’s 25 years of award-winning commitment to quality and philosophy of design—to bring more of the area to life with finished buildings and landscaping all around, as opposed to the look of a strip mall that may only look presentable from the front. This precise attention can be seen in the careful creation of Clinton Crossings Medical Center—one of the largest of its kind in the state, and a proven success in the area.
