The general consensus among students is that the paper's content was not a fair representation of the tutorials, past papers or examination style questions we were given throughout the semester. Therefore we were inadequately prepared for an exam that makes up 75% of the final grade of the module.

It is unanimously conceived that Dr Kai Sun misled the students. Not only did he assure us that the format would be short answer questions, in a similar style to previous years, he also created a revision folder that contained no questions of help to this exam. The format was completely different, despite his emphasis on being familiar with the previous style of questions and answers portrayed in past papers and tutorial questions.

We think this goes against the values of Aston University to allow this to happen and are confident the undergraduate office will take action upon seeing that a large percentage of the student cohort are unhappy. The university must recognise there is a big issue with an exam paper if almost all the students who took the exam feel they were misled and are unhappy with the lecturer.

Thank You
