Final supporters
The general consensus among students is that the paper's content was not a fair representation of the tutorials, past papers or examination style questions we were given throughout the semester.Therefore we were inadequately prepared for an exam that makes up 75% of the final grade of the module.
It is unanimously conceived that Dr Kai Sun misled the students. Not only did he assure us that the format would be short answer questions, in a similar style to previous years, he also created a revision folder that contained no questions of help to this exam. The format was completely different, despite his emphasis on being familiar with the previous style of questions and answers portrayed in past papers and tutorial questions.
We think this goes against the values of Aston University to allow this to happen and are confident the undergraduate office will take action upon seeing that a large percentage of the student cohort are unhappy. The university must recognise there is a big issue with an exam paper if almost all the students who took the exam feel they were misled and are unhappy with the lecturer.

I have been reading through the stories you are leaving in the comments and it is clear that many of us felt completely blindsided by that paper. We are currently gathering these accounts to present to the department because they need to see how much this has impacted our final grades. Please continue to report your experiences so we have a full picture of how this exam failed us.

Seeing so many of you echo the frustration I felt sitting in that exam hall confirms that we were not prepared fairly. This momentum is proof that the university cannot simply ignore our experience with the module.

Cant believe he did this to us. Total blindside.
The exam was nothing like the tutorials and I spent hours doing those past papers for nothing. So gutted.
This really messed up my grade and i know everyone else feels the same way. Not cool.
SERIOUSLY felt like I was sitting a different module entirely. Absolute joke.
I completely agree and havnt met anyone yet who took this paper and would disagree!
Unfair people should get punished!

Waste of time studying the revision folder. Why tell us it would be short answers and then change the whole format?
