Prince, IWU student senate. (Freshman)
My name is Prince Christian, I'm from Nigeria and I am asking you to elect me as your Senator. I’ve held
several positions within my high school student government including Freshman Class
Representative, Sophomore Class Vice President, Junior Class Representative, and Senior
Class Secretary. I also served as Vice President of my school’s science club
Society. Aside from student government, I was an active participant in my school’s tutoring. My participation in extracurricular activities allowed me to learn how to effectively balance the tasks with which I was posed, while simultaneously managing my schoolwork. In the last few years I've been Able to visit places around the world, which makes me have a better understanding of diversity, acceptance. In addition, I’ve grown quite accustomed to working with and around large groups.
By electing me, you would be electing somebody experienced with student-run
government as well as somebody with a collaborative work style. You would be electing somebody who strives for excellence. I want the Student Senate to succeed and to be a positive organization that brings about positive change at the college. Moreover, I want to be a person whom you can come to with issues, ideas, or general concerns regarding the direction in which college policy may be going. I want to be there for you.
As a Senator, I would like to find myself engaged with all of my classmates in order to create a successful and inclusive atmosphere in which every person can flourish both
academically and socially. Thanks for taking time to read this. I very much
hope to find myself working with you as your Senator.
