Be Proud of Pride Time!
With the new Fayetteville Pride Time structure, kids are no longer able to use it as intended, to further their skills in areas that interest them! Instead, we have to spend 30 minutes every day going over math and language, tiring subjects that already have 45 minutes dedicated to them daily. Pride Time should be a time when we can go to classes that we need to or want to, to work on getting better at skills that need our attention and/or could potentially earn us thousands of dollars in scholarships to prestigious schools, and earn us some extra money if we are ever down on our luck. Things like music, coding, robotics, interesting moments in history, fun science experiments, and catching up on our missing assignments! We want Pride Time to be something to be proud of. We want it to be a time when we, the students, have a chance to study areas we don't normally get to. So please, if you feel like today's learners and tomorrow's leaders should have talents beyond analyzing and calculating, sign this petition.
