Really sad to see John go. He navigated some tough times for our team and always had our backs. Not sure how we move forward without him.

BRING JOHN BACK. He actually listens to the staff and gets things done. Big mistake letting him go.

John Wood has been an exceptional leader and someone who has devoted his career in helping all of those under his care. He has really worked hard to support the staff in the Emergency Department while balancing the changing landscape of healthcare and the business of UCSF Health. His departure is unjust and I wholeheartedly will provide my support of him in anyway that I can.

John is the best boss I have had in my 10 years at UCSF. This makes no sense at all and everyone in the unit is super upset right now.

It is truly disheartening to have learned of the decision to dismiss John Wood. I feel uneasy with the future of our department and there is a noticeable decrease in the moral of all staff across the dept. John is the only leader who has made positive, visible changes not only to the emergency dept but to the hospital as a whole.
