As covid-19 causes businesses and agencies across the globe to follow or do as "recommended" when applying to guidelines and procedures to prevent covid-19 in the workplace employees are often strung around and have to choose between something just months ago that was considered an obvious right ( mandated masks) and keeping their job to better themselves, their families and frankly in a lot of cases just keeping a roof over their families head. In such situations good hearted associates are always going to choose to put their family first no matter the mandates and restrictions that slowly add up. First it was the masks second a temperature check. Then the segregation of associates in break rooms (one to a table, 6 feet away signs) if most people saw their work place a year ago as it is today they would be scared. But what walmart has done is ease their associates into these restrictions which are now the new norm, but the end is not near and is far from over. Walmart recently had management tell their associates some vague information that their may be some covid-19 testing coming to the work place the vague part is if it will be mandatory for all employees and every 2 weeks, then again everything else is mandatory. A test by the way that is often painful. Now once that becomes the new normal the covid-19 vaccine will be well into circulation around the country. We must ask ourselves what the next mandate from Walmart is going to be? And what it seems to be is a mandatory covid-19 vaccine. Mandatory as you don't have, you don't have a job. A vaccine is something that individuals will always act differently to ,and side effects can remain unknown
till years later. And as different strains of the virus are created can actually end up attacking ones immune system worse then the virus itself. If a company is going to have their employees choose their health over feeding their families it's no company to work for. A company is nothing without employees I ask all associates to remember they need us they just don't know it yet. This petition is strictly to make any vaccine optional and if not consider the signatures here our resignations.
