the board just voted to keep the funding exactly where it is so the ib programme is safe. i cant believe we pulled this off but thank you for sticking with me while we fought for this. keep an eye on things just in case but for now we celebrate.

Dear WRDSB trustees,
The students of Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute have been informed that the Waterloo Region District School Board is considering reducing or eliminating its funding for the International Baccalaureate programme.
We understand that the school board is considering cutting $133 000 from the IB programme so that they can meet their 4.3 million dollar funding shortfall. However, the IB programme is a successful program which brings together, as well as challenges students from across the Waterloo Region and the Guelph/Wellington county. We, the students, encourage you to maintain the current level of funding to ensure the program remains successful and accessible to all present and future students, regardless of their financial situations. Please re-consider carefully the effects these cuts will have before making your decision.
We, the students in the Pre-IB International Studies programme, the IB Certificate programme, IB Diploma Programme, as well as supporters from the Cameron Heights Collegiate student population, call on the Waterloo Region District School Board to maintain current levels of funding for the International Baccalaureate programme in order to preserve its quality and keep the program accessible to all.

Ridiculous waste of time cutting a program that actually works. Try cutting somewhere else for once.
My brother is in this and its the only thing keeping him motivated at school. Very lame decision.
This program helped me get into my dream uni. Dont take this away from kids who actually want to work hard.
KEEP IB!! stop messing with our education.
If u cut this funding you are killing the best part of the school. Look at the data before making calls like this.

I went through the IB at CHCI and it was tough but so worth it. Accessibility for everyone is the only way it stays fair.
