Lindvest Properties has applied to amend the current zoning on the vacant piece of land on the South side of Highway 7 stretching between 9th Line and Stoney Stanton Rd (in Grand Cornell) currently zoned Rural Residential One (RR1) to the proposed zoning of Community Amenity Area Three (CA3) to allow for stacked townhomes - a total of 548 units

We oppose this for a number of reasons inlcuding but not limited to: possibility of decreased hosuing value in surrounding neighbourhood, increased traffic, potential litter, overcrowded parks, and primarily the homeowners in Grand Cornell were under the expectation that future development within the community would consist of similar types of residential housing (detached, semi's and towns) - we trusted the builder that this area of land would only be used for the purpose of deatched homes, semi's and/or towns, NOT stacked townhomes.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED OPPOSE THIS APPLICATION

Lindvest Properties thinks they can bulldoze our neighborhood plans and ignore their original promises to us. The momentum behind this petition proves they cannot just steamroll our community for the sake of their profit margin. We are taking this fight directly to them and showing exactly how much they underestimated us.

We bought here because it was supposed to be a low density family neighborhood. Stacked townhomes dont belong in this part of Grand Cornell.

this is going to ruin the character of the whole area. 548 units is just way too many people for that little space

NO WAY. My property value will tank if they build those cheap stacked units right next to us. Keep them out.
