Prevent relocation of drug addicts & vagrants from Durban to South Coast

I disagree as crime will increase in the area I live.

Stop this right now.

I'm against the relocation of the Vagrants in Durban to be accommodated in Illovo.

EThekweni needs to consider the safety and protection of the Illovo and surrounding communities. Establishing a shelter for Durban’s homeless people with various problems will only endanger the lives and livelihoods of the local citizens. I do not support this initiative and petition against it.

Not happy with this idea

It saddens me to learn of this "behind our backs" move to move all the destitute homeless and drug addicts from Durban to Lower Illovo. This will not solve the problem these people have. It will only move it to another area. From past knowledge, the individuals who have been relocated in past years, have moved back to Durban. Moving them to Illovo will not be a positive move by Ethekwini. It merely means that crime in Illovo and surrounds will increase and put more pressure on the crime fighters to overcome the bad influence this will cause.

South coast> durban

No relocation without proper consultation with community it affects and how their concerns will be addressed prior any relocations being made. This is already a job poor area and relocating more unemployed is not viable without also addressing how these people will be employed and contribute to the area so they can move themselves into being more independent from state help.

Please have some consideration for all us old folk who live in this area. Being pushed into an unknown for these people who you want to relocate, this leaves a soft target being us oldies who will be attacked, where does the thinking and planning come from. It surely doesn't sound like people who have foresight, but i would call it a "bum" sight.Time to go see an optometrist and a psychiatrist our poor KZN is being lead by people with no sight or plan .

Locating this type of operation right next to a school is extremely dangerous and you are placing the lives of children at risk. Crime in the area is already high with very limited resources.

Don't pass the buck, deal with it.

Please consider the residents of this area before putting us at risk to property and personal danger! It isn’t something to be done without us being consulted

This is unacceptable No meetings was held to ask if we in favour if this. The municipality cannot make decisions on their own without consulting and getting the opinions of the people that matter the most. Crime will now be rampant and we are worried about our safety

This is gone increase the crime rate in our small community Our children are free to play and protect if this happens out kids won't have they freedom
