I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without ESA, my arts high school. Not only would I not be working in the field that I love but I wouldn’t be the accepting, caring and thoughtful person I am today without that experience.

I can't imagine what my life would be like without the arts or the gifted program. The my program has provided me with so many opportunities and so much confidence that I can confidently say have made me the person I am today and am going to be in the future. The gifted program introduced me to so many new people and so many friends. School without our programs will be miserable for the students of today and the students of tomorrow.

My son has been in Claude Watson School of Art for 9 years ,he is in G12 filming pro now,he loves CWSA ,it’s home for his heart ,the programme is cool.Expecially he loves it ,happy with it ,could meet lot of passionate kids like him and great professional teachers too .
My girl is in private school ,it’s fancy and expensive。After few years trying ,I feel it’s stressful due to financial situation .We decide to transfer her to gifted pro next year .She has some close friends there .I would like to discuss the opportunity of the equal right of having supportive resource for advanced Learning talent kids such as gifted or macs or tops or art pro in public or in private school .Why kids with talent in public schools can not have more caring education as students in private school because they can not afford expensive tuition ?Parents pay education tax too .Ppl in need is friends in deed ,we can give lot of social benefits to refugees ,to ppl can not work ect ,why we can not provide more support to our bright kids ,they are the main stand for this country in the future.Every industry need leaders and pioneers ...We totally support TDSB can continue to have these amazing pros to kids in need ,thx for reading this note .

This is an ultimate loss for our students. I rather the board phase out EQAO which is a total waste of money.

Gifted Program is very good for my son, I believe different student fits for different way and it is better to be educated differently.

Please keep those programs as means of motivations for generations to live with brave spirit, To face competition and fight for their dreams; which by all means is the meaning of life, not just live, in my mind. Thank you!

Our youth desperately need the arts where they can channel their emotions, spark their imaginations, learn essential communication skills and grow their self-esteem. It has been proven that engaging in dance, music, theatre and other artforms can have a positive impact on mental and physical health,

Eliminating funding for specialized arts training schools is a step backwards for the TDSB. I'm not certain how one can correlate the existence of these schools with "white privilege" since there is a rigorous auditioning process involved prior to admission. Entry to these specialized schools is not based on race! Perhaps the TDSB should focus and implement their recommendations at the elementary school level in order to enable students who have an interest in the arts and whose parents cannot afford to send them to extra-curricular arts programs outside of the school.

i was in a specialised art program last year (in the tdsb) and though i did quit it, these programs are very important! so glad i found this petition.

I love the arts so much and being allowed to do the arts in school has pushed me in my other subjects and has created a great highschool environment
