I can't imagine being in a non-arts specialized school. I feel safe and at home when I am there. Don't take it away.

We should keep it bc that’s what our school is known for and we like having that program at our school.

As a student in the TOPS program, I have benefited so much from the enrichment opportunities it offers and it would be ridiculous to deprive students of this.

Increase the number of arts & other specialty programs across the board; do not phase them out.

Somehow the tdsb manages to ignore the bad things and screw up the good things. I'll actually be pissed if they go through with this.

What is the TDSB thinking?! This effects the livelihood of so many people I know. I always knew the TDSB was hot mess.

As a senior in the TOPS program myself, I've seen the first hand experience that comes with these specialized programs and it would be ridiculous for the TDSB to get rid of these programs when they do so much for the students.

Etobicoke School of the Arts has impacted me in ways no other school ever did. This school has created a safe place for people to express themselves through art and closing it would be robbing student of the future from many LIFE CHANGING experiences!!

I was in gifted and it has helped me so so much. Others should not be deprived of this.

I'm in grade 12 at ESA and I could not have asked for a better high school experience. I don't intend to go into a performing arts program post-secondary but that doesn't matter because the creativity, acceptance, passion and support that I've been surrounded by every day now for four years will stay with me for the rest of my life. Phasing out specialized programs is a terrible idea because it will prevent future generations for having the same this same inspiring, rewarding and life changing experience. Specialized programs are so important because they encourage students to think outside the box and provide support that students with all sorts of different learning abilities need to succeed. The answer isn't to water down all the specialty schools but to raise other schools so that their students can experience the same level of dedication, passion and support.

This program was the reason I have such fond memories of high school. I felt safe and nurtured. I had a peer group who supported and understood me.
