Specialized schools offer children and youth a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. They teach tenacity, support creativity and shape young people to be resilient leaders. Closing them would do just a lot of damage by depriving the kids of the environment they need to fully develop their potential with peers that have same interests and strengths. These schools came to fruition for a reason. These places make a difference .

Look at why these programs were started in the first place. Are you trying to have the number of truants, behavioral problems and dropouts increase? That’s what we’ll get if we eliminate these special programs.

Going to a performing arts high school was one of the most rewarding and stimulating experiences of my life. It shaped who I am as a woman today, and gave me so much. I've been so grateful to have gotten to have such a unique high school experience filled with love, encouragement, passion and empathy. I've always dreamed of sending my own kids to ESA and the thought that these programs may close is devastating.

Specialized schools offer children and youth a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. They teach tenacity, support creativity and shape young people to be resilient leaders. Myself and many of my peers have significantly benefitted from school like ESA. Closing them would be a travesty. An ability to explore the arts provides an outlet to build and shape the mental health of the next generation. ESA gives youth a fullsome and well rounded education- these are not wasted dollars. These schools came to fruition for a reason. Don't turn you back on that plan. These places make a difference . Thank you Hillary

Please do not cut good public education programs! These enriched programs really benefit our children and provide them the environments that help them to reach their potentials. Lots of graduates are now actively contributing to our society. It's easy to remove these program, but it's so hard to rebuild them. Please take care of our kids' future!

Attending Etobicoke School of the Arts contributed hugely to who I am today, and it would be an incredible shame to deny future students the same opportunity.

What is the definition of the equal learning rights to get what the students truly need? Different students need different support. I strongly ask for keeping the gifted program.

Please keep these specialized schools. They provide a home for many students who would be marginalized in other schools.

Children are entitled to appropriate education. The TDSB can't seem to figure out how to do this and has instead decided to ensure that they are equally bored in the name of Equity.
