I disagree with TDSB.

TDSB should be replicating our successful specialty schools and programs not eliminating them!

Speciality programs like these programs change kids lives!

Special programs should not be removed. They are critical to developing diverse talents and innovations (potentials that many kids have that could not be nurtured/developed by regular programs). Instead of phasing out special programs, I suggest TDSB should look into expanding such programs so they are more accessible to Toronto kids. Don't choose an easy way out (as in phasing out the program), choose the more challenging way that will ultimately benefit more kids and Toronto as a whole.

Please make more spevial programs like IB in more schools instead of eliminating special program.

Please do not take away special programs i.e. Claude Watson, Macs, Tops . They are so successfull and so special. For the kids who go to those special programs , it is so important to blend academics with art and creativity, they will not be as sucessfull and happy in another environment. I think it is so important to have those well balanced kids for the future of our country.

Please do not take away special program from this school or any other school. Children education will lead a better future for all.

I go to RHSA and I couldn't imagine going to a different school. Having specialised schools creates communities of like-minded kids, and that is a large part of the formula for a positive in school experience. The ability for me to go to a school where I can play music all day (doing what I love) and also have the ability to take your typical academics is something that all the kids at schools like mine need. Cancelling the programs at these schools would be a major step backwards.

People complain about inequity about special art program and other specialty program not accessible to their kids should ask them self did they do their part to provide art and music lesson amount to hundreds if dollars per month and hours of driving back and forth to art classes. Don't expect their kids c@n attain specialty program school . Our kids work hard for it

Programs are a great way for students to learn what they want to, instead of getting bored and not paying attention in school. I attend these programs and believe that others need to have this opportunity as well.

Equity serves the purpose when right challenges are given to right people. For instance, when a Math smart kid is given the same challenge as an art/sport smart kid, I don’t understand how this will be equity. The existing speciality programs help the families to go with the option that best suits their children. Phasing out speciality programs will impact the children and the society adversely. Please create more opportunities for the other children without impacting the children who benefit from this. So my strong opinion is “The Speciality programs should not be phased out”.

I want specialized education sustained.

I like to continue the specialized program such as CWSA and others. Thoes students who are entering specialized school progras are given equal opportunities with others. The opportunities for auditions are given to evey students whoever wants to do it. Please DO NOT eliminate or even PHASE out either.
