We should not be rezoning future residential spots that is adjacent to other homes to accommodate some big industrial building. They are trying to do this on the West side also. This is a bad idea for both sides of our city.

The rezoning proposal is a bad idea inside the city, and a cold storage facility should not be the first thing one sees when driving into Oronoco.

This is not a property suitable for the huge facility and traffic generated but the business. If they want to be in Oronoco there are many spaces in the Elk Run area with easy on and off Hwy 52.

There has to be an alternate location to the facility. There are too many people in the vicinity that will be adversely impacted, many of them children.

Changing the zoning from R1/2 and B1/2 to M1 for this parcel of land is detrimental to the residents of Oronoco. Spot zoning manufacturing facilities into residential neighborhoods will decrease the quality of life for the families and their children due to the pollution of noise, lighting and increased large truck traffic.
