I live in Tala and have had been burgled once and a recent attempt
More resources should be made available for local policing

It would help if the police would stop vehicles with damaged/illegible number plates. I have seen quite a lot of scooters round the Tala area with number plates defaced to prevent recognition.

We do need more police in Pafos area. They need more resources so they can investigate and solve the crimes that get reported,

We definitely need some visual, or even covert, police present here in Kamares, during the hours of darkness, to help deter the thieves who seem to act dishonestly, with total impunity.

Saturday night seems now seems to be the regular night for break-ins. The police know who the likely suspects are but nothing happens ...

Bearing in mind that self interest of Cyprus Gov must support the process of reducing such crime for the beneficial effects this would have on business and tourism in Cyprus.

You have to ask why the crime levels have risen so steeply in recent years? One reason is that we live in a cotton wool society - criminals are basically getting away with murder. Raise then widely publicise the punishment levels to the extent that criminals would really have to think hard about what measures would await them if they are caught.

Enough is enough. Let get some preventative security. Time for a gated community. Let’s act before international newspapers feature the crime in Cyprus

Island wide we desperately need more honest effective policing. In this area we need a Tala based police station. Tala, Kamares,Zelemenos has grown hugely whilst policing has not. Cyprus encourages us to settle here. It’s time that invested in us too.

Love Cyprus. It was once safe now the crime rate is getting ridiculous. Make it safe again for residents and tourists alike
