Supporting you all the way. Leiden University have a habit of doing this to Psychology students, forcing them into financial crisis due to poor administration.

This is exactly why we can't take this issue lightly and we're going to such lengths...

It is unacceptable that Leiden University cannot offer a project to the student in the promised time frame. It is financially heavy, even impossible for some students, and is already causing negative implications for the future career plans students have after university.

That's what we're planning on doing if they don't respond to our complaint within the next 3 days.. Thanks for the support!

I with all my heart hope that this will be fixed, how horrible that some students are forced to take an extra year in this absurd way

I have heard of conduct similar to this from the University on a number of issues. How a university as respected as this can treat its students so poorly is unbelievable and it should be ashamed of itself.

Absolutely unacceptable. I've been in the same situation with another university, and it did nothing but break my spirit. These institutions should prepare us for our future, not make the path unnecessarily complicated and stressful. What a shameful circumstance.

I don't understand how the university can treat their students in such a way. They always talk about how much they care about their students but this is literally the worst thing they can do. Some of my friends will have to stay in the Netherlands for an extra 6 month, they lose spots for their masters and also lose internships. Basically their future just got a big hit.

I believe if student met all the requirements of the program there is no reason to exclude them from working on their bachelor project. Solution can always be found considering that its paid by the student education.
