Many people in this country have run themselves into the ground with high interest school loans in order to carve out a better life for themselves. Parasitic institutions like University of Phoenix, ITT Tech, etc. pray upon people's hopes and dreams and gives them nothing in return. The credits are not transferable and the instruction is subpar.
Others, who have worked diligently to achieve degrees at traditional institutions have been plagued with high interest school loans, high cost of living, and having to work multiple minimum wage jobs. People hope to have the payoff of being a professional in their discipline, only to be buried by extremely high loan payment amounts.
The aim of this petition is to respectfully request that President Obama pardon at least half of every college student's loan debt in the United States of America. This in turn would help millions of American citizens gain a foothold into their future and for others, give them a chance to get a degree from a reputable institution.
We, as a nation of ambitious people, can not bring about economic stability without education and training.

It would have been better and more fair if this was a bill that was passed and implemented a while back because so many people have had to pay off their debt for years and some even till this day. But it would still serve as a booster for poor families that truly need it.
Im a father of one in need of tuition debt help.
Debt is high and now he is giving people free school well then help us get out of debt
When i heard about all the new stuff about students coming in, I thought "thats not fair to students who are in college now". This including myself.

This would be only fair. Wall street revived billions in bailouts, why not people striving to break in to the middle class?
