We, the undersigned wish to petition against the parents of Madeleine McCann profiting from her disappearance any further.
The recent articles in newspapers suggesting that Mrs McCann may be paid a figure up to one million pounds for publishing her diaries is utterly horrendous and displays an extreme lack of respect for little Madeleine who is the innocent victim.
Whether or not Mr & Mrs McCann are found guilty of any involvement in her disappearance remains to be seen. But the fact remains that they are both guilty of gross negligence to a child that was simply enjoying a carefree holiday in the sun.
We request that the McCanns are no longer paid for articles, interviews or any other form of communication with the media.
The scale of this response is overwhelming and frankly exhausting to process. It is clear that I am not the only one who finds this situation deeply wrong even if we are facing a mountain of indifference from the people at the top.

They need to be held accountable for the neglect. No more money for them.

doesnt matter if they were guilty or just stupid negligence. selling a diary about a missing child is just plain wrong.

How any parent could even sleep at night let alone write a book for cash is beyond me. Poor Madeleine.
