Yes, permitting NAMA to issue such titles without due, rigorous credentialing process by an appropriate body compromises the legitimacy of Ayurveda as a structured medical system that requires rigorous theoretical and practical training before it can be practiced. The 'purchase' and flaunting of such titles poses clear and grave risk of doing harm to unsuspecting patients/individuals who are mislead by the title of 'Ayurveda Doctor' or 'Vaidya'. While I am not sure what role MoAyush has to play in restricting or regulating such agencies/organisations such as NAMA it definitely should write to the parent bodies under whose aegis NAMA operates, and also spread awareness through consulates and social media that it does not support such practices. The veil of legitimacy explicitly or implicitly provided to such practices should be removed.

I strongly implore GOI to declare that the ill knowledged half baked Ayurved courses being conducted in US, as quackery, because people wishing to get treated for serious conditions may be falsely drawn to such quack-course-athenticated pseudo doctors, and also to differentiate clearly between well educated, samhita learnt, internship practiced authentic Vaidyas from US made Ayurvedic quacka. Also, in case of hazardous results seen in patients due to quackery in Ayurved may be later attributed to just Indian Ayurvedic Science, not quacks, risking the dignity and goid faith and fame of Ayurved worldwide as well as in Bharat !

I have studied Ayurveda for decades, Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and currently studying AP with so much gratitude and respect for this wisdom. Keep this ancient wisdom protected by not allowing improperly trained people to practice.
