Your Excellency,

As you may have become aware, the mummified body of the late king of Iran, Reza Shah Pahlavi, was found during a construction project at the site that once was his mausoleum.

The Islamic Republic of Iran showed its animosity towards him by disgracefully destroying his mausoleum shortly after the Islamic revolution. Now I have grave concerns that it will try to destroy his mummified body; openly, in disguise, or in deceit.

Reza Shah Pahlavi, as the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty and the architect of the modern Iran, is an undeniable part of the Iranian history and as such must be protected as Iranian heritage for future generations.

It goes without saying that one’s offspring has unalienable right to his or her burial. Islamic Republic of Iran, in its covert plan to dispose of the body, has brazenly ignored requests by his grandson, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, to allow for a deserving, respectful burial. It has even denied rightful requests to conduct an independent forensic identification of the body to verify that it belongs to the late Reza Shah Pahlavi.

I would therefore like to urgently ask you to use all means at your good offices' disposal to prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from destroying the mummified body of the late Reza Shah Pahlavi.

As you may also be aware, during recent uprisings in more than 100 cities, across Iran, people from all walks of life have openly expressed their reverence for the late Reza Shah Pahlavi. This has obviously enraged the Islamic regime's officials and exacerbated their animosity towards him. In my view, this makes it even more likely that the regime’s officials may try to destroy the late king’s mummified body. I therefore believe that your interference in this matter is not only most urgently needed but necessary and crucial.

همانگونه که محتملا آگاه هستید ، پیکر مومیایی شده پادشاه فقید ایران ، رضا شاه پهلوی ، در حین یک پروژه ساختمانی در مکانی که زمانی آرامگاه وی بود پیدا شده است.

جمهوری اسلامی ایران دشمنی خود با وی را اندکی پس از انقلاب اسلامی با تخریب شرم آور آرامگاهش نشان داد. اینک این نگرانی عمیقی را دارم که دست به نابودی پیکره او خواهد زد، به آشکار، به پنهان ، و یا به حیله و نیرنگ .

رضا شاه پهلوی ، موٌسس سلسله پهلوی و بنیان گذار ایران مدرن ، بخشی انکار ناپذیر از تارخ ایران است و از این نظر باید به عنوان یک میراث برای نسل های آینده حفظ شود.

نیاز به توضیح نیست که بازماندگان هر کس حق انکارناپذیری برخاکسپاری وی دارند. جمهوری اسلامی ایران ، در نقشه پنهانی خود برای از بین بردن این پیکره ، بی شرمانه درخواست نواده او ، شاهزاده رضا پهلوی ، برای یک خاکسپاری در خورشان و محترامانه را نادیده گرفته است . حتی درخواست های محق برای شناسایی مستقل پزشکی قانونی به منظور راستی آزمایی اینکه پیکره متعلق به رضا شاه پهلوی است را هم رد کرده است.

لهذا ضرورتا از شما خواهشمندم تا تمامی امکانات دفترگرامی خویش را به کار گیرید تا از نابودی پیکره مومیایی رضا شاه پهلوی توسط جمهوری اسلامی جلو گیری شود.

همانگونه که ممکن است آگاه باشید ، در خیزش های اخیر در بیش از یک صد شهر در سراسر ایران ، مردم از هر طیف و طبقه ای آشکارا احترم خود به رضا شاه پهلوی را بیان کرده اند. این به وضوح سران جمهوری اسلامی را به خشم آورده و دشمنی آنان نسبت به وی را افزون کرده است . به نظر من این امر احتمال آن را بیشتر می کند که سران جمهوری اسلامی به نابودی پیکره مومییایی شده پادشاه فقید دست بزنند. لهذا باور دارم که دخالت شما در این مورد نه تنها بسیار فوری مورد نیاز است ، بلکه بسیار لازم و حیاتی نیز می باشد.

می خواهم که پیشاپیش از شما برای توجه فوری تان به این امر مهم تاریخی سپاس گزاری کنم .
