to Preserve the Character of Beaver Brook Area

We, the undersigned property owners of surrounding neighborhoods and Beaver Brook Country Club stockholders and members, strongly oppose the proposed rezoning application for high-density residential development (5 dwellings per acre) on the approximately 20-acre parcel bordered by Beaver Brook Country Club, Cunningham Road, Shady Lane, and across from Regency Heights.
Our Position:
The proposed development density of 5 dwellings per acre would:
- Allow nearly 100 homes on this parcel
- Significantly exceed the existing residential density of surrounding neighborhoods
- Create substantial traffic congestion on Cunningham Road
- Fundamentally alter the established character of the Beaver Brook area
- Negatively impact property values in adjacent communities
Our Request:
We petition for a maximum density of no more than 2 dwellings per acre, which would:
- Better align with the existing neighborhood character
- Encourage the construction of higher-value homes, enhancing the surrounding property
- Protect the interests of Beaver Brook Country Club members and stockholders
- Preserve property values for surrounding homeowners
- Maintain sustainable traffic levels on local roads
Petition Statement:
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the relevant zoning authorities reject the current high-density proposal (5 dwellings per acre) and instead support development that does not exceed 2 dwellings per acre for this parcel. This lower density will help preserve the character and value of our community while allowing for reasonable development of the property.
