Preserve Thomaston Dam off road use

Motorcyclists need access to safe roads like this one. Please reconsider shutting down the road to our fellow riders.

Please preserve what little legal off road riding remains.

This would be devastating to the dirt bike community and local Ct dirt bike shops . We only have one place to ride off road in the whole state . There are walking trails everywhere including the Roarback state land area across the street from the dam . How about trail improvements on the existing trails on the state owned land .

Please do not approve this plan. It will eliminate another place to ride in Connecticut. There are already many places to hike but very few options for off-road motorcycle riding. Thank you for your consideration.

Only one of two legal places in CT to ride. Does it make any of sense to take this riding area away from the thousands who use it every year? Makes no sense!

I have enjoyed riding dirt bikes here for 25 years and always register and pay taxes on my dirt bikes to state of ct . This is my only legal place to ride, don’t take it away! I am also an avid hiker, There are unlimited places to hike in the area!

I think it is incredibly selfish of whoever is behind this. Not to mention an insult to those who have worked tirelessly to maintain these trails over the years

This the only place in the area to ride dirt bikes legally while there are many options for people to hike etc. Please recognize the need for off road areas. Skills learned while riding off road saves lives when you apply them to situations on the road. Also this is a great bonding sport while being able to social distance in these rough times. Let people de stress in the safety of an approved off road riding area. Thank you

Removal of legal dirt riding should not occur.

Closing legal riding areas will only encourage people to ride illegally

Please leave the ohv trails alone, it’s our only legal riding area in the state.

There are 1743 hiking trails and 2 for bikes. Destroying 50% of existing bike use to add 1 additional Greenway seems especially foolish and targeted considering there is a study proposing good alternative routes that would preserve the Dam

Keep the area open for dirt riders!!

Please don't take away one of the few places dirt riding can be done legally.
