There are more than 1000 walking trails in CT. Only 2 for legal off road dirt bike riding. Read that again. Please don't do this.

I don’t understand why this riding area is always under attack. We are all legally registered to ride here. This is the ONLY legal riding area in the state while there’s countless hiking areas, and you want to take away the only place we have to enjoy our hobby. It’s very aggravating and I’m extremely disappointed in our state for allowing it to even get this far.

Thomson dam has been one of the greatest places to ride. I love visiting with my friends from Ny. With very few places to ride legally it’s really all we have.

I'd be sad to lose our one and only spot in CT to ride Strictly Dirt offroad bikes. I grew up riding the Dam. I'd feel bad for other kids to not have the opportunity to ride because of this.

Why take away the some of the only legal riding trails? This hobby is an amazing source to keep people outside, active and even more so for the families that chose to do it together.

People who hike have plenty of places to go there’s no reason to take away one of the only places where off-road enthusiasts are legally able to ride. These politicians have no problem taxing us and making us jump through hoops making us get off road plates. It’s time that they use the money to guarantee us a place to ride. Let these treehuggers go elsewhere,the thomaston dam area is ours .

Please preserve the Thomaston Dam areas for off road use. There are only 2 left in Connecticut. versus thousands of hiking trails for hikers. If they disappear, the illegal use of hiking trails will spike dramatically.
