Preserve the Tallywood Sign!

Mid-century landmarks are important to the collective community memory. Please preserve Tallywood sign.

It's not too recent to preserve this period's creations, and similar to the wholesale destruction of Victorians to make way for Modern, we're going to miss them all when they are needlessly gone. Please save this small sliver of modernistic design.

I grew up in the neighborhood behind tallywood shopping center and my mother still lives in that house. I would be so disappointed to see such an amazingly cool vintage landmark get destroyed. This is the type of uniqueness Fayetteville needs to cling to and promote to be able to stand out as a unique awesome place. That shopping center has so much potential and it's certainly not the sign that is bringing it down! It just needs a revamp so that the sign is a billboard of vintage awesomeness like the hideous brick being painted and some trees and maybe even an ice cream store and a craft store like Michaels . That shopping center should be family friendly.
