As a kid in a small town we would go into Fayetteville for special shopping trips, movies, etc. This sign is etched into my memories. It was unique and stood out amid the typical signage around town. I would always look for it as we drove through town. Please save this iconic sign.

Please do not remove one of My hometown's most iconic landmarks! It's bad enough Belk's closed and the other merchants were forced out. Show some respect and allow a piece of history remain!

TALLEYWOOD PRIDE
Gentleman, I am sure that as leaders you have the foresight to guide the community in its effort to retain the Iconic structure for TALLYWOOD center. Iconic Structures and Buildings affect the way we feel about a city, often giving residents a monument to be proud of. What makes them proud is probably their unique design, their symbolic value and their history. The fact that the originators had the foresight to indulge Mr. Baron for his skills, his place in history in a time which revolutionized design and Art in the state of NC, and this country. The fact they provided Fayetteville and TALLYWOOD with an Iconic Structure for its citizens is reason enough to retain its presence in connecting the current area with that of the future area. It Is ownership to the citizens of Fayetteville to be proud of and to take pride in its historical foresight during the 1960's. You are fortunate to have been able to take advantage of Mr. Baron's skills as a Designer and a Representative of the School of Design at N C State University. An iconic University that brought forth both Design and Architecture in the 1960's and it is still the forerunner in making the cities and commercial Communities of North Carolina places of Pride.

Preserve Bill's very excellent iconic signage. Build your new shopping complex around it or move it to an adjacent site. Figure it out, guys.
