Our great local landmarks deserve to be maintained with dignity in order to preserve Angelino history for all to enjoy. Current Angelinos and visitors deserve to experience the colorful tapestry of personal achievements and contributions by historical members of our beautiful city. Save the Lummis Home.

This is part of the Heritage of Highland Park. I can think of no good reason to tear it down. It is an irreplaceable monument to the early history of Highland Park.... how many of them do we have?

The job of the leaders of this city is to serve the people and make sure those historical places like the Lummis House are preserved. You have the money and resources to make it happen, that is why we pay taxes. So my question is why is not happening?

This is an easy choice to support - Occidental has lead the way in working to preserve an important piece of Los Angeles history - PLEASE give them the support they need to continue these vital efforts.

I grew up next door to the granddaughters of one of the original curators/residents of the Lummis Home. The Gray family's grandmother worked there, we used to go see her all the time. Save this place!

It's a great place, and if it was open more often, the grounds would be a great place to take kids, take a walk etc. it's idiotic to let this site grow over and fall apart.
Charles Lummis and the Lummis House are intrinsically important to the history and building of Los Angeles and its culture. Also, the culture of the old southwest.

For the last 7 years I have lived directly across the street from this wonderful gem. In the last couple of years I have seen a steady deterioration. I see the neglect on a daily basis. AND ITS BOTH SAD & UNNECESSARY. Please do what's necessary to preserve and maintain this historic architectural and natural wonder.

It is appalling at how short sighted the City is in maintaining the Lummis home. This is an anchor for actives in Northeast Los Angeles. I hope that they come to an agreement with Occidental.
Love this place!!!
