The Lummis House is a unique, enduring and beautiful piece of the history of Highland Park, and indeed the history of Los Angeles as a whole. This landmark must be preserved and protected as an important piece of the region's cultural heritage.

Do we really want more of our history destroyed? This property is an important link to the frequently forgotten past, as well as a vital link to Charles Lummis, one of the most influential citizens of Los Angeles.

The city of Los Angeles has never prioritized historical preservation. It's a bummer that we have to depend on elitest institutions to maintain history, but it is clearly the only option.
