With so many buildings being torn down, there are fewer and fewer historical sites left. The Lummis Home needs to be preserved.

This is just one of many great treasures in Highland Park that we need to keep alive and it has such an amazing history.

The Lummis House is a unique, enduring and beautiful piece of the history of Highland Park, and indeed the history of Los Angeles as a whole. This landmark must be preserved and protected as an important piece of the region's cultural heritage.

It's a landmark representative of one of the oldest parts of Los Angeles - would be an absolute shame to lose it.

Do we really want more of our history destroyed? This property is an important link to the frequently forgotten past, as well as a vital link to Charles Lummis, one of the most influential citizens of Los Angeles.

It's important to preserve historical monuments like the Lumis Home so tomorrow's generations can see what our ancestors left us: gold mines!

Such a cool place. The first time I went was on a field trip with my daughters school. I hope this spot will be preserved

The city of Los Angeles has never prioritized historical preservation. It's a bummer that we have to depend on elitest institutions to maintain history, but it is clearly the only option.
