There has to be a logical design that achieves multiple purposes with this proposed development:
1) avoids disruption to a wonderful family neighborhood with a thru-road as proposed
2) avoids the crossing of wetlands
3) achieves the developers proposed housing density without imposing a risk for the police & fire departments to serve this project in the event of a safety issue within the development
4) avoids additional traffic flow on streets not really wide enough & not designed for large amounts of traffic. In addition, there is already a safety risk at Hayden Rowe & Chamberlain Street's without a traffic light during periods of high traffic flow (commuting hours). This would be exascerbated greatly with additional traffic created by connecting Chamberlain St with a thru-road.

Hopkinton was a small town when I moved there. It needed to grow but now the growth seems to be over whelming to the town. Is there a need for huge companies to take over and build? Shouldn't there be some concern for maintaining the size of business buildings to fit the needs of the town? My impression is some of the newer buildings are much too large for the needs of a small town. The population can only grow in coordination with how much land is available. There are limits to size and number of industry and commercial buildings needed to maintain a balance between business and residential.

Why not extend both streets and have 2 cul de sac? Also do we really need another development when Legagy Farm isn't finished and the Brand new Elementary School is already too small? Hopkinton is growing too fast. Let's slow this down people!

Enough is enough already....this developement will add nothing but more misery to this already over developed town. More traffic, higher taxes for more schools and town services, less area for precious wildlife. This would not be an asset and I am tired of developers making promises and enticing offers and coming up short.

I grew up at 31 Chamberlain Road. This is a ridiculous expansion that will destroy the fabric, quiet, and safety of the area and the homeowners who chose this town for it's careful balance of nature to buildings.
