The concerned neighbors, which live in Gastonia, NC, urge our elected City Council leaders to vote NO against the proposed rezoning of land located along Robinwood Road, between Kendrick Road and Hoffman Road, from residential to commercial property. In addition to the rezoning being in direct conflict with the 2025 Comprehensive Plane, the development would increase the number of grocery stores in the near vicinity to 9. Further effects: 1. Increase the amount of traffic on Robinwood necessitating a stop light between the two existing lights. 2. Increase of silt and runoff into both Heatherloch Lake and Robinwood Lake. 3. Increase of noise by large trucks and dumpsters. Also decreases the level of privacy and safety of the surrounding homes as the development will be zoned C-3.
