I'm a 2015 graduate, of RHS. And also LD student. I would not have made it without the help of a smaller school and teachers that care.

FEMA will pay for separate schools for Richwood & Nicholas middle school after the 2016 flood. There is no humane reason for this unwanted Consolidation! We could combine our new high school with the middle school if combining is deemed efficient. However, Nicholas County is West Virginias fifth largest county. The bus rides would be far too much of a burden also to Richwood students.

Please do not consolidate our schools!! I believe the people of Nicholas County should be the ones to make the decision about consolidation. It should not be left up to 5 people in the county, our children, their families and the community will be the ones to suffer if consolidated. We the tax payers are the ones that help support the schools and pay the salary of those 5 plus people.

FEMA money intended to rebuild Richwood schools should NOT be redirected out of this community!

Consolidation only hurts the students needing smaller class rooms and extra time with teachers.

There is no reason a school should consolidate 4 schools when 3 were damaged in a natural disaster.

Class of '89 and proud parent of two Lumberjacks. One that had graduated with honors, a Concord graduate and is now working in NC for a prestigious gas company. The other getting ready to graduate with honors with plans to major in computer science. I owe their success to RHS, the wonderful teachers and our small family community. Please keep our schools in our community.
