The developers have their own interests in mind, not those of the town.

Please keep Ridgewood exactly as it is now! The whole reason why my wife and I moved to this town is the school system and the type of town it is!

These proposed high denisty zoning changes benefit the developers, not out community. Pressure from outside developers motivated by their bottom line is not a valid reason to permit amendments to the master plan that would ultmately turn our village into a city. The Planning Board should say no to these proposals, or risk setting a precedent from which there will be no turning back.

This is an outrage to our community. The schools will be overcrowded. Forget about parking in Ridgewood. It is a challenge to park now in town. The builders make the money and leave us with the ruins. A few miles out and there is land and less costly housing. So much for earning one's way.

First full disclosure. I have no dog in this hunt. I do not live in town nor do I have any connection whatsoever to anyone that does. Just happened to notice this discussion. But... For over 10 years I served on the Zoning Board of a suburban community in a nearby county.I have seen similar applications for a variance many times. The applicant always presents compelling testimony why the project is the right thing to do for the community. But rarely does anyone ask "but what about the restrictions we have on the books...why should we grant a variance to existing law...why can't they go to the governing body and try to get the existing ordinances changed? At some point, boards of adjustment have got to have the backbone to stand up and say, "no, our zoning ordinance does not allow this, and you have no positive contribution to the community and you do have a negative impact.

The high density development would drastically change the beauty of this town
