Big Wood Lake has been a huge part of my family for over 60 years. The potential negative impact of an RV park and the subsequent increased use of the lake is very concerning. Please require a comprehensive plan and environmental impact study before any conditional use permit is considered. We would hate to see irreversible damage to the lake as a result of this development.

I believe any time a body of water is involved with human use it must be thoroughly inspected prior to any decision that could negatively AND positively impact the environment and safety of the community. I vote no at this time.

My little brother grew up on this lake right by the bible camp and I had many opportunities growing up to enjoy the quiet solitude of this area. I implore you to not move forward with plans to create an RV park. Sincerely Shaun Fillmore

We the undersigned request a comprehensive plan and environmental impact study for the redevelopment of parcels formerly owned by Wood Lake Bible Camp (234 acres). Without a comprehensive plan and environmental impact study, we oppose any conditional use permits or changes in zoning that would convert the former camp into a commercial recreational campground.

The Epland family is strongly against the RV Park Proposal and support all of the efforts to keep the lake's integrity as is. We are mainly concerned for SAFETY of the lake, the roads and the residents.

As with the previous proposal, I am concerned with the issues the increased density would cause on and around Wood Lake. Wood Lake is a quiet lake enjoyed by residents and the Grantsburg community. We take pride in maintaining the quality of the lake life experience including rigorous inspection of our boats and trailers for invasive species, the success of which has been seen in the most recent inspection which indicated that there has not been an invasion of millfoil or curly leaf pond weed. I am concerned that increased traffic increased that risk especially when visitors are not as invested in maintaining lake quality as residents. Additional use of the boat launch will require additional maintainable by the county, especially to the launch when boaters power load boats on to their trailers eroding the launch and adjacent shoreline. Parking at the launch is also limited, and on summer weekends is entirely full. Additional boat traffic on the lake by boaters unfamiliar with WI State boating regulations will result in shoreline errorion, damage to docks and swim islands. Unsafe operation of boats at speeds to great, boating to close to other boats etc is of concern. As it currently stands if a boater is operating their watercraft uin an unsafe manner, chances are, I recognize the boat and call the property inner, something I have only had to do on one occasion. We have an inflatable water trampoline. At the beginning of every season we have the challenge of restricting its use. The Burnett County Sherifff’s department has been great in assisting us with this problem and the fact that they know many of the residents and a lot of the local teens has been so helpful. I have to believe that such an increase in transient lake users would necessitate increased law inforcement presence and perhaps even water patrol. I also have environmental concerns. Our septic system size was mandated by the number of bathrooms/bedrooms in our home irrigardless of the fact that our ho

I don't believe big wood lake can support the additional use volume this RV park would bring. Clearly an environmental study is required before this project can move forward. Fishing on the lake has declined over the past 20 years we have been on the lake and this park has the potential to more than double the boating volume on the lake.
