Traffic on Floyd is already dangerous with vehicles speeding between Tuttle and Shade. People use is as an alternative to Bahia Vista and avoid school zone. We need speed tables on Floyd for sure.

Strongly opposed to developing Arlington Park. Zoning this parcel of land for multi-family is unconscionable. The City of Sarasota would be demonstrating, yet again, their inability to understand that we live in the environment; we are part of the environment; we are supposed to be the custodians of our environment - not the nemesis of same.

This is not where this kind of housing belongs. I have lived here for 11 years and bought in this neighborhood because it was a quiet beautiful place. This will take all that away especially with the increase in traffic

The proposed density would add a significant traffic and congestion burden to an area of Sarasota that already has a heavy load at school and work times, morning and afternoon. The intersections along Bahia Vista, from Tuttle to 41, become heavily congested from 7-9am and again from 3-6pm from this traffic. The proposed zoning change and increase in density would cause existing residents to suffer the consequences. It would also increase stress on water and sewer systems which no doubt, like throughout the city, need renewing. Development needs to be thoughtful, with a publicly shared master plan.

My family moved into this neighborhood in 1949. Because of its location and charm, I chose to live here also. The peacefulness and quiet traffic is what I looked for. It is truly a ‘neighborhood’ where families are kind and helpful. A place where it’s safe to walk your dog at night and kids can play in the streets. An extremely desirable area where people want to live and build a future, not just park their bodies somewhere with a short lease. I love my home and the neighborhood with our beautiful Arlington Park just down the street. Let’s keep it this way!
