We, the undersigned, oppose the proposal to change the zoning of land currently zoned General Agriculture (AG) within Wright County to add “Treatment and Recovery Facility” as an allowable conditional use. (The facility shall include at least 25,000 sq. ft. of total floor area on a parcel of at least 60 acres).

A proposed zoning change for land classified as General Agriculture (AG) within Wright County will be brought before the Planning Commission at their regular meeting on December 10th.
The change being proposed is to add Treatment and Recovery Facility as an allowable conditional use anywhere within Wright County on lands currently zoned AG.

The momentum behind this fight is undeniable. Wright County officials are feeling the heat and they cannot pretend this brazen land grab is going unnoticed anymore.

NOT in our backyard. Find another place for this stuff that isnt on prime agricultural land. Wright County needs to quit bowing to these developers.
Stop the rezoning. Once that land is gone we cant get it back.
protect our farmers! we need open fields not massive buildings everywhere.
This is ridiculous. Leave the farmland alone. Why are they trying to change rules that are working perfectly fine right now?
The amount of traffic and noise this would bring to a rural area is a joke. Our roads arent built for that level of a facility. BAD idea.

Keep the AG land for farming. That is what it is zoned for and it should stay that way. We dont need these facilities all over our county.
