The potential gutting of the North Chapel will be on the March 15, 630pm agenda of the Peninsula Community Planning Board. I will be representing many artists from the Arts District/Liberty Station in our opposition to this threat.

My gospel choir performed here on First Friday. The acoustics are ideal for music. A restaurant? An abomination.

Please preserve the North Chapel as a chapel. It holds many memories for those who have been married there and should be protected and remain as a historic site.

St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, pray for us! Is it possible to place announcements indicating this NEED in ALL parish bulletins of the parishes found in the insert of The Reign of Mary--ALL FOUR PAGES? Please TITLE IT: PRESERVE AN HISTORIC SAN DIEGO SITE: North Chapel at Liberty Station NTC...indicating the website/Facebook/Twitter and encouraging each parishioner thereof to ask several fellow parishioners--"Did you sign the petition/Facebook/Twitter for saving one of our churches in San Diego? I did and it's easy. Check out the website/Facebook/Twitter Father has in the bulletin." I suggest the announcement appear every week for 16 weeks unless our goal is reached prior to the deadline.
God bless you and yours always and in all ways!

I have been at weddings and choir concerts in this venue and it is a unique gem for san diegans to utilize and would be a shame to turn into a restaurant when the surrounding grounds all owned by the same company offer plenty of space for that type of business.

Went to Boot Camp there in 1988. Preserve this chapel, that I attended for Sunday worship.

Preserve our history. It’s not something any one can recreate. Developing doesn’t have to be destroying. Find a creative way to use this space.

We only have 3 Latin Masses left in San Diego county and this is one of them. Traditional Catholics are starved for Latin masses. Please don’t take this away. I bet you get a lot more traffic at Liberty Station from Catholics who go to Mass there than another restaurant would draw.

Too much redevelopment has already occurred on the property of former Navy Recruit Depot San Diego. So many of the types of businesses that have taken up leases have zero respect for this country's Military and it's history.
The former Officer and ellisted staff as well as the many thousands of recruits would be turning in their graves if they learned of this.
This news should be shared across the country on the many local news channels so that we have many more signatures.
