Preserve a Historic San Diego Site: North Chapel at Liberty Station NTC

Please save our historic chapel as is - it would be criminal and horrific to change it to a restaurant or anything else. Leave it as a chaprl.

Attended many weddings, a special place.

I do not want to see this chapel converted for any use other than what it was intended for.

History needs to be perserved for furure genrations and being that this is the last orginal building in the area and also a relgious venue, there should be no reason for this petition ti even be alive yet here we are. Its wrong. Its for profit. When is enough, enough?

My Dad and Husband were at NYC. My friend fought to restore the Chapel and it is an important part of the history of the Navy Training Center and the families whose loved ones served in San Diego. It MUST be preserved.

I'm Jewish and even I think this chapel should remain for those to use for it's original purpose of worship etc. There are enough restaurants. It was opened for a reason and it is disrespectful to change it from something so important to just another restaurant or other business. It's important for San Diego's history to keep.

I went to boot camp in San Diego in 1989 and went to that church every Sunday during that time.

Save our heritage!! We don't need to profit off every square inch of property. Don't be so damn greedy!

As the daughter of an officer who trained at the NTC, I feel the proposed conversion of this historic chapel to a restaurant is insulting and disrespectful to the people who utilized the chapel while at NTC. The Navy is a significant part of San Diego history and McMillin should think twice about the impact of their intended move. A big part of Liberty Station's appeal is the history. Duh! The restaurants will come and go. It's ridiculous to dismantle significant historical elements of the property.

Save the church. There are enough places to eat.
