I travel the country because of bmx and all that is associated with it. I’ve never heard or been to Pflugerville until the jumps were build.

Most Bmx trails are in flood plains. It’s one of the only useful ways to utilize flood plains. Look at 9th street Bmx in the city of austin. They went through the same process with the Walnut Creek flood plain in the 1980s. East side Bmx trails in austin are another flood plain.
A counter argument is that Bmx trails that get shut down or abandoned usually get over run by homeless encampments. Take red box trails on west bouldin creek for example. The trail is no longer active so camps have moved in

The trails give Life! Don’t take away Life from the younger & older who all feel younger when they ride.

An entire sport and community is slowly being destroyed because of situations like this. People, kids, adults, need places to ride bikes and have fun.

Please leave these trails open as it’s provided a place for old and young to come together and do volunteer work for one big goal in mind, HAVE FUN! These volunteers have provided a commodity for the city at no cost to them. There was meetings in years past with the city for these to be aloud and we had the green light and the blessing of the city parks people.
