I agree with the complaints and desires already expressed. Too much development noise, traffic and road damage, loss of night sky viewing. loss of trees, erosion, and the rural ambience that made me so glad to move here from the town of Cary years ago. Please consider the desires of those of us who have been here for years as well as the health of the lake.

This used to be a very rural county. Please keep it that way. We can't have it be like Raleigh in all of NC.

One of the proclamations in the Chatham Charter is to keep Chatham County rural. That is fast disappearing in Eastern Chatham County.

Please keep our land as around Jordan Lake useable for us and others for years to come. Careful consideration of past agreements need to be reviewed and monitored. Light pollution issues need to be monitored and prevented as is already happening!!

Please do not let Cary drive irresponsible growth in our County. Preserve the lake quality.

I moved to the country to get away from the city. I have watched a significant number of farms/land be completely bulldozed for high density housing and asphalt. I do not think city/county has any concern about where the water is coming from. Doing this so close to Jordan Lake/wildlife reserve is very short sighted. I also remember when you could walk out to the middle of Lake Jordan due to drought conditions with a lot less homes and businesses. I have also been told that Cary's plan is to replace Jean's Berry Farm with a strip mall. This is already on their 5 year map. I assume the current owners will be taxed off their property? I wonder what we will all get other than new trash cans for our higher taxes?

Let's not opt to put up as many houses as possible in this area. We should be looking to find a balance between proper, beneficial use of the land and expanding of living spaccein this area.

Responsible development needs to incorporate land preservation, proper water management, and low-density housing. It also must include adequate fire and police services as well as the addition of public schools.
