COVID-19 disproportionately attacks the elderly. The younger population is largely protected from extreme COVID-19 effects. Currently all demographics are asked to quarantine. Businesses are asked to shut down in order to force quarantine. These actions harm the economies and are unnecessary.

This petition calls for politicians and health officials to modify their quarantine recommendations. Leaders should strongly suggest elderly over 65 years of age continue to self-quarantine and those under 65 continue to work and live a normal life. Those under 65 should avoid contact with the 65+ demographic until the COVID-19 crisis has passed.

Those under 65 will catch the virus and will feel some mild side-effects, if any. Those under 65 should be directed not to occupy hospital resources, ask for COVID-19 testing, and avoid going to the doctor when feeling the virus side-effects. Just like any other cold or flu, they should not go to work and should avoid contact with others, in particular those over 65.

The economy will not be unnecessarily damaged and the elderly will continue to be protected.

Please sign this petition showing your support for suggesting those less than 65 years old continue to work, play, and socialize while those over 65 continue to self-quarantine until the COVID-19 crisis has passed.
