Enough concessions to the residents of Warwick Way/Powdermill Lane, have been made, on a road [Warwick Way] which does not have a high vehicle usage. The roads in & around Dartford are even without all the new-build developments, not the best. Restricting the usage of Powdermill Lane will neither assist Dartford in improving road usage or neither assist business usage in/on Questor estate, or indeed facilitate improved Fire, Police response times for the whole community Restricting vehicle access through Powdermill lane should be reversed.

If the width restriction must be put in, then at least prevent lorries from using the hill. We should be encouraging people to walk / cycle to work and nursery, not forcing them to drive due to the dangers of the road.

What a nightmare for parents with children at the nursery when Princes Road is blocked due to M25 traffic problems. How ridiculous to close the road, does a local councillor live in Powder Mill Lane?!

Road planning really needs to be looked at.

I fear for my life every time I walk down the hill to the nursery with my children. There is no pathway, vans speed up and down the road and the situation with the HGVs is ridiculous! Why not put a width restriction on the bridge between the nursery and Breyer. This will allow access for cars and force lorries and big vans to use the correct entrance into Questor from Hawley Road. Simple.

i totally support this any parent who uses this route will understand how dangerous it is and how fast the vans travel up and down this hill. In the winter that road is a waiting death trap. More consideration is needed. Once again KCC has not considered the impact on this closure. They should try using the road at 5pm when the traffic is blocking the entire road and on a football night you can almost forget using the top of powdermill lane to collect your children

why remove the width restriction? This allows lorries to use the hill! This proposal needs thorough consultation!!!

To make Powedermill Lane the only access route to Springfield Nursery is the most ridiculous proposal! If either road conditions are bad, as in winter, or Princes Road is blocked through volume of traffic or an accident, if there is only one route, how are we supposed to reach Springfield Nursery? Also removing the width restriction will allow lorries & other commercial vehicles to use what is already a badly maintainers & hazardous stretch of road. Think again KCC in possession of all the factors!!

Only last week 2 lorries (one was a DHL) attempted to travel down the hill in covoy causing chaos at 7.30am. The road is now wide enough for them! Also white vans including the courier company DPD parcel force dash about the lane as though it is a race track and without any consideration for other road users. Once to escape someone flying down the hil I was forced over the curb and grounded the car on the kerb. The hill is not safe to walk along! My feeling is that quaestor traffic should not be permitted in powdermill lane and should be forced to use the main entrance in hawley road.

my children attend springfield lodge nursery and its going to make it even harder to get there and in bad weather it will be impossible to get to the nursery

This road is extremely dangerous especially as the nursery is there. I have many times had to walk my hold up the hill whilst cars pass as there is no pathway or lighting. These are the things that seriously need to be considered urgently.

Make out roads safe, not convenient!

I lived along Powder Mill and this is much needed for the residents and staff at nursery - people use it as rat run - so dangerous!

I need to get daily from Wilmington to David Lloyd's in Darenth Road, so I would be deemed legitimate ocal traffic. Please don't remove a local amenity ats been around 150 years because someone decided to build more housing at the top of the road. Of course these new residents were going to be inconvenienced by the traffic in the lane. Do something about the congestion in Princes Road instead.

This is not a realistic solution, to the problem and will create a more dangerous environment for very young children! It definitely needs to be looked at again!
