This petition is to help change the local bylaw in Trenton ON, prohibiting pot bellied pigs as domesticated house pets. Here they consider Pot Belly Pigs to be a "farm animal". If any of you know anything about Pot Belly Pigs you know that they are amazingly intellegent and make an wonderful addition to your family. There is no difference from a pot belly pig and you family dog or cat besides the type of animal.
Refining our arguments for the upcoming council review requires careful research into how other municipalities classify these intelligent animals. The personal stories provided by current owners continue to illustrate that these pigs are truly household companions rather than livestock. I appreciate the ongoing engagement as we prepare to present this evidence to local officials.
