Dear Dr. Giuseppe De Abreu and Registrar office,
We, General Electrical Engineering 1 students, are all signing this petition in order to postpone the final exam’s (End-term exam) to be on the 7th of December instead of the 2nd of December for the following reasons.
- Half of the material included in the final (Lectures 7 and 8) were only explained 2 weeks ago (Lecture 7 (16 Nov.) and Lecture 8 (23 Nov.), which in return immensely pressurizes the student and does not give him/her enough time to exercise or get acquainted with the chapters.
- On the final exams schedule, the General Electrical Engineering1(end-term exam) was reserved for another another date (i.e. 12th of December) which implies that the course’s final exam can be shifted as it has a reserved date in the final exams schedule.
- We would humbly ask for one more tutorial that acts as a revision before the final where students can ask their questions and voice their concerns concerning the material.
- Half of General Electrical Engineering 1 course is taught in other American schools as a 300 level course that is a junior (3rd year) level course; therefore, we, first-year students, would just need more time to fathom the material and get enough practice before the final (end-term).
Below is a list of student names who signed this petition/ request.
