Postpone the loss of Crossroads' Assistant Principal

Losing an AP will affect the students who need the most attention and care. When we lose staff, children who are "acting out" or "misbehaving" will be reprimanded without care and attention to resolve the root of the issue. I've seen teaching assistants and teachers diffuse situations without needing to go to the principal's office. Let's stop this pipeline to prison.

Assistant principals are necessary for operations. Our kids need strong leaders.

This would be terrible not only for the school but to the parents whom she has been instrumental in navigating bullying incidents. She has been a wonderful resource. One person can't do it alone, so she should remain in place to help the principle.

The assistant helped when the principal was not able to. I appreciate the help.

Crossroads has historically been given a principal and an AP because we are two schools in one building. There are two budgets, two SCIPs, and two unique programs. While we may not have the required student to admin. ratio, there is a high need for additional administrative support if we are to continue to be a successful school. Adding more work to an admin's already over-loaded plate will be passed down the line to staff, students, and families. This is magnified by the fact that we will be transitioning to a traditional calendar after the 24/25 school year. Please reconsider removing the AP position from Crossroads.

It would be a real shame, especially when so many district project managers are making too much money.

Please do not remove our Assistant Principal from Crossroads her role is essential & very important for out children & the teachers. We need her to stay around for 2024-2025 school year. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

Ms. Heidi plays a vital role at Crossroads. Eliminating her position will not only affect the Crossroads staff but also the students and their families

This position is important and required. I've worked very closely with Heidi over the years, and she is an asset to crossroads.

This sounds ridiculous. I'm in construction and if I took away my helper my job would be insanely hard. Do we care about our youth or money ??

Two separate schools require a minimum of 2 administrators. The workload is too much for one person. The only solution acceptable besides this is creating an additional principle for the 2nd program.

Our student is a rising 5th grader or we would pull him. However, my younger child will not attend Crossroads and we are looking outside the district for both next year. I no longer trust SPPS district staff cares about the families or students in their schools. Building staff are not the problem.
