Post-Election Faith Response

I struggle hard since the election results - how to reach out in a loving way towards people who do the behaviors you mention above, and those who fan the flames of hate. Those who value inequity/exclusion/rejecting the value of diversity. All my Christian training so far has encouraged me to model positive behaviors regardless of how others choose to behave. Behave as those I admire - as Christ, as Ghandi, as Dr. King, as others of this brand of leader throughout history. How to continue to restrain myself when such hateful behavior abounds? And indeed is being fostered by our country's elected (but very spiritually poor, in my opinion) leadership team, who are encouraging feelings of hopelessness and fear for the future of American society, and the downfall of the American experiment?

Our prayers are needed as our neighbors are threatened. My grandson is having nightmares at age 3!!! this is not all right. I am amazed at how quickly we are all impacted by this man. Sally Oppenheimer
