The Contagiousness Constitution

"The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself." - Benjamin Franklin
"Once you catch it, share it." - Annie Passanisi
I hereby vow to Live Contagiously. I not-so-solemnly swear to Spread Ease.
I promise to proudly follow a contagious code of conduct:
- I will hold happy thoughts whenever possible. I will allow them to be fruitful and multiply in my mind.
- I will smile at no less than four people a day. I will smile back at those who smile at me.
- I will not "grin and bear it," "suck it up," or "shake it off."
- I will give myself the permission to be human. Side effects include occasional sadness, stress, anxiety, crankiness, and bad hair days.
- I will not kick myself when I am down, but will raise myself back up.
- I will not be ashamed of my happiness. I will not feel guilty, selfish, or naive.
- I will disinfect my thinking whenever possible. In case of negativity outbreaks, I will quarantine myself.
- I will passionately persist in my pursuit of happiness. I will bring others along for the ride.
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the
power of Happiness, we mutually pledge to each other our
Lives, our Laughs, and our Hope for a lovelier future.
